FOUNDATION DATA MODEL
As a human resources professional, you’ll complete most staffing and compensation actions in Workday. From recruiting and hiring to onboarding and retirement, you may use the system to perform HR-related tasks such as:
- Requesting and approving job requisitions

- Managing temporary changes in pay
- Overseeing performance reviews
HR Actions in Workday
Workday brings many HR business processes into a single, integrated platform. Expand the menus to find job aids for common HR processes or to access job aids and how-to videos sorted by topic.
Academics and Faculty
Workday will be used to manage all processes related to academic staffing, including creating, updating, and ending academic appointments and named professorships.

Compensation

Payroll
Managing payroll in Workday involves a variety of processes, such as entering and approving time off, payroll processing, making payroll accounting adjustments, and assigning costing allocations.
Recruitment
Workday Recruiting will be used to perform every step of the recruiting lifecycle, from creating a job requisition and posting job openings to initiating reference checks and hire.

Time and Time Off
The process of overseeing, correcting, or approving time off and leave of absence (LOA) requests from employees will happen in Workday. HR staff with the appropriate security roles can also enter time off or leave of absence requests on an employee’s behalf.

Workday Learning
