The Office of Compliance & Integrity supports compliance efforts at UW System. The mission is to provide support and services to UW System universities in identifying and fulfilling compliance obligations from federal law, state law, and Board of Regents policies. We do this by promoting a culture that moves beyond regulatory compliance to one that embraces ethics and integrity across the UW System.
Position Summary:
The University of Wisconsin System, Office of Compliance and Integrity (OCI), seeks one part-time Office Assistant. Ideally the Assistant would begin work in April or May 2025, to allow for onboarding and overlap with our current Assistant who is graduating in May. The Assistant would continue work through the summer and into the 2025-26 academic year. Working approximately 10-20 hours per week; with a flexible work schedule between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position may be extended and become an ongoing appointment through additional academic years.
Duties include research, compiling records, drafting preliminary guidance, data entry, scanning of legal files, website maintenance, and file creation and maintenance in SharePoint and software database. Additional duties include assisting with management of compliance obligations, public records requests, coordinating legal materials, proofreading documents, creating surveys, collecting data, as well as other miscellaneous projects and tasks as needed. An interest in higher education law and/or compliance is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently on assigned tasks.
- Professional demeanor and good oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Knowledge of Excel, SharePoint, and databases is desirable.
Compensation:
$15.00 per hour
Work Location
780 Regent Street, Madison, WI. This position has the option to work partially remote.
