An Update on the Moon Shot for Equity at UW-Milwaukee
Despite the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s prior hard work to achieve equitable outcomes for students, demographic disparities in persistence and completion remained. Like many institutions, UW-Milwaukee (UWM) found that financial barriers to completion were disproportionately impacting first-generation, low-income, and under-represented minority students.
To more effectively leverage change management principles to close these and other equity gaps, UWM joined EAB’s Moon Shot for Equity.
Dr. Phyllis King, UWM’s Executive Director for the Moon Shot for Equity, and EAB’s Tom Sugar will discuss the change leadership principles that UWM is using to achieve sustainable transformation and the impact this work is having on student success.
