Action Steps.
- Convene a stakeholder working group to research and then draft a common definition of college and career readiness in mathematics in broadly understood language.
- Define measurable criteria for college and career readiness in mathematics.
- Reconcile differences between high school graduation requirements and higher education admission requirements for mathematics.
- Generate and access less noisy data so they offer better indicators on the health of PK-20 students’ success in mathematics and are serviceable to improving the learning and teaching of PK-20 mathematics.
- Work with UWS to develop the systematic collection of PK-20 learning data so it informs the continuous improvement of students’ preparation for an array of post-secondary mathematics options.
