If you are employed by a U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government or not-for-profit organization, you might be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer. If you would like to apply for the PSLF Program:
- Print the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Certification and Application from the Public Service Loan Forgiveness website.
- Complete Sections 1 and 2.
- Submit the form along with the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Employer Verification Request (not required if submitting your paperwork digitally) to UW-Shared Services, Service Operations.
- Completed forms may be:
