MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin Technical College System President Dan Clancy announced on Monday that he will step down in September 2012.
University of Wisconsin System President Kevin P. Reilly praised Clancy for his many accomplishments over the years.
“President Clancy has been a terrific partner to work with. He’s a person of high integrity and great competence, and he provided energizing leadership and a steady hand in a time of significant changes. During his watch, we have worked together to make post-secondary education accessible for more and more students in order to better meet the state’s workforce needs. Hundreds of articulation agreements between the UW System and the WTCS, along with the innovative Transfer Information System, now help students move more easily between these two systems, facilitating their preparation to be successful contributors to a rebounding Wisconsin economy.
“Along with his keen understanding of the evolving needs and challenges facing students and employers, Dan has always shown an unwavering commitment to helping students succeed. We will miss working with him, and wish him well in his retirement.”
