UW System President Ray Cross will speak on the educational and economic benefits of university research when he appears Monday, July 21, at the seventh annual Wisconsin Science and Technology Symposium in Eau Claire.
The two-day event will be held in the Davies Center at the UW-Eau Claire campus. The audience will be comprised of investors, entrepreneurs, researchers and educators.
Cross is scheduled to speak at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Monday.
The symposium is being organized by the WiSys Technology Foundation, which promotes and supports university-based technology and science research, along with patent and licensing activity, related to institutions of the UW System.
WiSys is affiliated with WARF, the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation.
