LA CROSSE, Wis. – University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point Chancellor Bernie Patterson and Provost Greg Summers provided a status update on its “Point Forward” proposal at the Board of Regents Education Committee on Dec. 6, 2018. The report provided a technical update on the proposal’s timeline – no action was taken by the Board.
“The Board of Regents appreciates the status report UW-Stevens Point Chancellor Bernie Patterson provided,” said Regent President John Robert Behling. “We thank him and Provost Greg Summers for their leadership. Chancellor Patterson retains my full confidence and support as he, and many at Stevens Point, continue to seek input on this proposal. We look forward to reviewing his final recommendations, as informed by the thoughtful feedback that faculty will provide over the months ahead.”
University of Wisconsin System President Ray Cross also appreciated the status update.
“The Point Forward proposal was developed in direct consultation with campus stakeholders, and I commend and support the leadership of Chancellor Patterson and Provost Summers in this collaborative approach,” said President Cross. “It is now up to the campus as a whole to critically reflect on the proposal in order to provide meaningful feedback on the Point Forward proposal.”
