MADISON – University of Wisconsin System President Kevin P. Reilly issued the following statement in response to Morna Foy being named the new president of the Wisconsin Technical College System:
“At a time when there is growing demand for Wisconsin’s institutions of higher learning to help boost economic growth, Morna’s background and leadership capabilities will enable the Wisconsin Technical College System to continue its strong history of providing educational opportunities that respond to the state’s workforce needs.
“We have a long tradition of collaboration and cooperation between the UW System and the WTCS at the local and statewide level, and we share common goals of preparing students to lead successful, productive lives.
“We have worked with Morna previously on several issues of mutual interest, and we look forward to working together again in the future. Morna is an experienced leader who knows the Wisconsin landscape. She is well-equipped to guide the WTCS as Wisconsin moves forward. We wish her well.”
