MADISON-The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents will hold its next meeting Thursday and Friday, May 10-11, on the campus of UW-River Falls. Several items on the board’s agenda may be of interest to local, regional and state reporters, including:
- Dedication of the UW-River Falls Distinguished Teachers Recognition Wall Lobby, 11 a.m. Thursday, Walker D. Wyman Education Building.
- Informational briefing on Minnesota-Wisconsin reciprocity, 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, Blue Room of Rodli Commons.
- Access follow-up presentation for all regents, 1:30 p.m. Thursday, River Room of Rodli Commons. This presentation follows a discussion the board began in October 2000 at UW-La Crosse about access issues within the UW System. The board will discuss the results of a survey of Wisconsin guidance counselors by the UW System Market Research Unit.
- Full board meeting, 9 a.m. Friday, River Room of Rodli Commons. The meeting will include reports from Regent President Jay Smith and UW System President Katharine Lyall, and a UW-River Falls presentation on “The Engaged Student.” The board is also expected to consider in closed session the possible dismissal of a UW-Superior professor. Any decision will be reported in open session.
