MADISON—University of Wisconsin System President Katharine C. Lyall today announced the names of the finalists for the position of chancellor at UW-Stevens Point.
The names have been forwarded to the Board of Regents’ Special Committee for the UW- Stevens Point Chancellor Search, chaired by Regent Roger E. Axtell, which will interview the finalists in Madison on March 22. Other committee members are Regents Mark J. Bradley, Gregory L. Gracz, Peggy Rosenzweig and Jesus Salas. The Board of Regents will take final action once it receives a recommendation from the Special Committee.

A 17-member campus/community search and screen committee, chaired by Padmanabhan Sudevan, UW-Stevens Point professor of psychology, submitted recommendations to Lyall in Stevens Point on Feb. 19. The person chosen by the regents will become UW-Stevens Point’s 13th chancellor, succeeding Thomas F. George, now chancellor of the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
