MADISON, Wis. – University of Wisconsin System President Kevin P. Reilly today announced four finalists for the position of chancellor at UW-Superior.
A 19-member search and screen committee, chaired by Professor Martha Einerson from the UW-Superior Department of Communicating Arts, recommended the slate of finalists to Reilly and a special committee of the UW System Board of Regents chaired by Regent Mark Bradley of Wausau.

The four candidates will participate in a series of public campus conversations between March 7-14, offering opportunities for faculty, staff, students, and community members to interact directly with the finalists. The campus search and screen committee has announced a schedule for those public conversations, which will be at noon in the Yellowjacket Union on the UW-Superior campus.
“The committee spent the last three months reviewing and screening candidates in order to make their recommendations for finalists,” Professor Einerson said. “The committee is looking forward to learning more about each finalist, spending time and observing them on the UW-Superior campus, collecting feedback from campus and community members, and passing their recommendations on to the special Regent committee and UW System President Reilly after the campus visits.”
Reilly and the special Regent committee will interview the finalists March 25. Along with Regent Bradley, committee members include Regent Stan Davis of Sun Prairie, Regent Edmund Manydeeds of Eau Claire, and Regent Brent Smith of La Crosse. They will recommend one candidate to the full Board of Regents, which must approve the appointment.
The person selected through this process will succeed UW-Superior Chancellor Julius Erlenbach, who retired last August. Erlenbach is returning to campus this spring to serve several months as interim chancellor after current Interim Chancellor Christopher Markwood departs for a new job.
