There will be numerous story and photo opportunities for print and broadcast media this Friday (Aug. 2) at “UW Day at the State Fair.”
The day’s events will take place at the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds in West Allis from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. The UW Main Stage will be located near the Cream Puff Pavilion on the Fair’s central mall.
“UW Day at the State Fair” is designed to help prospective students and their families understand how the UW System can be an important part of their future. It’s also part of the UW System’s 30th anniversary celebration.
In addition to information about admissions, campuses and financial aid, “UW Day at the State Fair” will showcase interactive exhibits, faculty lectures, athletic mascots and musical entertainment.
UW System President Katharine C. Lyall, members of the Board of Regents, chancellors and student ambassadors will also be at the fair to greet visitors.
Sponsors for “UW Day at the State Fair” are the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation and the University Research Park at UW-Madison.
