The Wisconsin Mathematics Council 55th Annual Conference in Green Lake, Wis., will include a session on Modernizing 9-12: A College Readiness Statement for Wisconsin. Presenters will discuss a recent college readiness in mathematics statement written by a group of K-12 and higher education mathematics faculty. The session will explore the questions “What mathematical knowledge and understanding should college-bound students possess?” and “How do the 2021 Wisconsin Mathematics Standards support the development of that knowledge?”
Presenters are Kevin McLeod, Co-chair of the UW System Math Steering Committee and Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at UW-Milwaukee, and Tammy Moynihan, Associate Director of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment with CESA 8.
