The University of Wisconsin System owns more than 18,000 acres of land, of which approximately 4,700 acres are devoted to the campuses of the thirteen university institutions. The remaining acreage is used for experimental agriculture stations and agricultural land, arboretums, natural and conservancy areas, extension activities, and other university uses.

Leasing

Background

With the passage of 2015 Wisconsin Act 55, the authority to lease real property, for use other than housing, was transferred to University of Wisconsin System Administration. This authority was then delegated to the Office of Capital Planning and Budget, which is responsible for leasing all real property for the thirteen university institutions and thirteen two-year degree colleges.

The University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh (UWO) is offering for sale approximately 29,400 square feet of land improved with a former student activity center located at 717 West Irving Avenue, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The three story, 28,700 GSF/27,360 NSF building was originally constructed in 1968 by the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay as a catholic student center. The building sold in 2004 to UW-Oshkosh Foundation. UWO purchased the building from the Foundation two years later. Details located here.
