Graphic of UWO Now Podcast

On a recent episode of the UWO Now podcast, host Wendell Ray talks with UW Oshkosh alumna and leadership coach Katie (Sasse) Rasoul ’05, who explains how she helps businesses leaders develop a sense of belonging for their employees.

Rasoul, who earned UWO degrees in finance and in French, said she always gravitated to human resources (HR) roles. She worked for Target Corporation for nine years, in HR leadership and managing a couple of stores, before starting her own consulting company, Team Awesome.

Rasoul says employees go to work for more than a paycheck.

“I believe we go to work in search of belonging. That’s important for organizations to understand,” she said. “Why would we not see that as an opportunity?”

Hear Katie in her own words:

UWO Now, a biweekly radio show and podcast, highlights University of Wisconsin Oshkosh faculty, staff, students and alumni as they dig deep into today’s relevant issues from fighting food insecurity to sustainability at home and on campus, to the ways we use our phones can hurt our ability to connect with others.
